The movie Hercules starring Kellan Lutz, Scott Adkins, Liam McIntyre, Liam Garrigan, Johnathon Schaech, Roxanne McKee, Gaia Weiss, Rade Serbedzija was released Jan.10, 2014. This PG film captivated the 3D graphics but also reinvented the Hercules cartoon movie we know and love. In the epic origin story The Legend of Hercules, Kellan Lutz stars as the Demi-god Greek hero – the son of Zeus, a half-god, half-man. Betrayed by his stepfather, the King, and exiled and sold into slavery because of a forbidden love, Hercules fights his unique reality that his father is indeed Zeus and disregards his true destiny. Through gruesome battles and gladiator-arena death matches, Hercules embarks on a legendary journey to overthrow the King and restore peace to the land.
I must say initially I was not interested in seeing the movie due to my lack of interest in the advertisement. However, I was encouraged to go see this movie and BOY AM I GLAD I DID! The story line and perfect since and the graphics were.. how should I say this.. AWESOME! yes, at first glance, the movie has some similarities to the move "300" but if you pay close attention.. It's obviously two different story lines Come on people! just like most movies it contained romance, fights, the quest to fight one's true identity and so on and so forth, on the other hand you have to give credit where its due: this is one of few movies to have successfully remade an animated movie...So Bravo Renny Harlin I tip my hat to thee!
